My website has been hard on the eyes. After searching endlessly for a theme that both stood out, yet was comfortable to look at, I think I’ve finally found one. I had to re-image it and tweak the colors, but now, I think I have a winner. What do you think, folks?
During the week, I’ll be re-fitting the calendar and other doohickies on the sidebars, as well as fixing the as-of-yet unchanged mini images on the left sidebar, but this is the basic idea. I have a picture of my cornfield that I’ll incorporate into the footer to replace the weird looking grass, and the way the post titles don’t wrap well when they get long will also be fixed.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to incorporate my brain + nerves into the water droplet + ripples image like I had on the previous theme. So now you can see my brain re-tooled to match the new colors, and shrunken so that it appears in its entirety in the top image, along with a few other pertinent pics.
One of the things I really like about this theme is the cool menu bar across the top, and how the site has a different look depending on when you’re looking at the homepage versus an individual post. Also, it should be even easier to comment if you register for my blog. If you’re signed in you can just comment away! I’m always annoyed at having to re-type my personal information on every blog I visit, so you won’t have to here.
If you really want to go back to the way it was before, you can always select the “1024″ theme in the theme switcher on the bottom left, but my main theme is now Damuhan. The colors from now on will be subtle, readable, and should hopefully be suggestive of life, technology, and the thirst for science that we all (should) have.
UPDATE 8-7: Calendar now integrated and stylized.
UPDATE 8-8: Rotating images added to left sidebar, now links to a page, too!

LIke the new look. Seems more professional too.
Thanks. Anything you think could use some changing?
Nothing I can think of needs changing- it’s gorgeous! Nice new brain too!
